Frameworks are only useful if they change the packing list. GSN maps work to nine Sustainable Development Goals because those are the ones our four pillars actually move.
- 1 No poverty & 2 Zero hunger. Irrigation, processing power and lower energy bills are income tools.
- 3 Good health. Clinic power, cold chain, cleaner cooking, safer waste.
- 5 Gender equality. Who is trained, who owns the pay-as-you-go token, who no longer walks kilometres for water or firewood.
- 7 Clean energy & 9 Industry. The hardware and the local service industry around it.
- 11 Sustainable cities & 13 Climate action. Buildings, waste, distributed generation, less diesel.
- 17 Partnerships. Churches, energy firms, real-estate partners, communities, government.
If a proposed project cannot be told as a sentence under at least two of those goals, we ask whether it is decoration. Decoration does not get our week.
