Inventories of nature-based projects cluster around Hwange, the Zambezi and Victoria Falls — biodiversity engines that also sit in the path of heat, drought and hungry infrastructure.
Reforestation, wetland repair and wildlife corridors cut flood peaks, hold soil and store carbon. They also fail if communities are treated as trespassers on their own land. The projects that last mix traditional knowledge with a budget line for rangers, nurseries and grievance procedures.
